QLD:Police arrest wanted Qld Health employee

BRISBANE, Dec 11 AAP - Police have detained a public servant wanted for questioning
over $16 million missing from Queensland Health.

Hohepa Morehu-Barlow, also known as Joel Barlow, was taken into custody overnight after
being located in Brisbane, police say.

He was at a home in inner-city New Farm.

A nationwide search for Morehe-Barlow has been under way since Thursday after it was
revealed millions of dollars, destined for Queensland charities, had allegedly been siphoned
out of a government department.

The government believes the money was put into private accounts for the last three
years and $11 million went missing in the past fortnight.

The money that was missing had been allocated for health charities.
